The results show that Y addition refines the grains of Ni-Mn-Sn alloy obviously and significantly enhances the compressive strength and maximum compressive strain. Abstract
The effect of Y addition on the average grain size and mechanical properties of Ni-Mn-Sn magnetic shape memory alloys is studied by means of optical microscope, compressive test and scanning electron microscope (SEM) observation in the paper.
