Predicted image is subtracted from original image to give residual image, residual image has lots of discontinuous curve lines, it is typically 2-dimensional and curve singularities image. Abstract

In this paper, we proposes A type Image Coding which is an experimental still image compression system that combines intra frame block prediction algorithms from the H.264 standard and Wavelet-Based Contourlet Transform(WBCT) with SPIHT image compression technology, followed by context adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC) as used in H.264.
