Social prescribing across cultures, places and time – from 1150 BCE to 2022

Abstract

This paper describes how to culturally enhance social prescribing as a community practice in accordance with the ethno biopsychosocial human rights model for educating community psychologists and psychotherapists. It provides a literature review and an overview of the procedures on how to translate the theory into practice. It expands therapeutic approaches as a multidiscipline that involves community psychology, psychotherapy and sports and exercise psychology.
