Abstract Based upon a corpus analysis of the advertisements for children’s products in a 2017 British issue of Glamour, a women’s magazine, the article attempts to identify a pattern of basic cultural ideas and images which advertisers speculate in their attempt to persuade, as symptomatic of cultural values at a given time.
