Análise multitemporal do uso e ocupação do solo, através de geoprocessamento

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze soil use and occupation in the municipality of São Leopoldo, RS, during the period of 33 years, between 1984 and 2017. Through the use of geoprocessing techniques, two thematic maps were prepared, which were classified in urbanized area, agriculture, vegetation and exposed soil. Based on the multitemporal analysis, it was possible to quantify the growth trend of the urban area and exposed soil areas, which resulted in a substantial reduction of the other types of vegetation and agricultural activity.
