Abstract
The designing of the two-dimensional extremely subwavelength epsilon-negative metamaterials is presented at radio frequencies. The operation of the proposed components originates from the resonance of a dual-layer metamaterial of inclusions excited by an alternating electric field. The real part of permittivity should be assuming negative values in the artificial materials from 11.1MHz to 14MHz. To validate the formulation results, the measurement of epsilon is also accomplished.
