We have improved the adaptive routing algorithm based on the Turn Model for 2D-Mesh network. We have proposed a North-South First Routing(NSF) for adaptive routing of 2D-Torus Network. To modify the disadvantage of NSF, we correct the limitation of the algorithm. Abstract

Nowadays, many, parallel computers which many PEs are connected by interconnection network have been developed. Many interconnection networks of parallel computers for there have been proposed. Among them, 2D-Torus Network is a well-known interconnection network. In the interconnection network, there are two types of deterministic routing and adaptive routing. Adaptive routing has many advantages in such fault-tolerance. We have improved the adaptive routing algorithm based on the Turn Model for 2D-Mesh network. We have proposed a North-South First Routing(NSF) for adaptive routing of 2D-Torus Network. To modify the disadvantage of NSF, we correct the limitation of the algorithm. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the improved method.
