Abstract

Among the organotin compounds, organotin(IV) carboxylates adapt a fascinating range of structural diversity, including monomer, dimer, tetramer, polymer, oligomer ladder, cyclic and hexameric drums structures. Generally fourand five coordinated complexes are observed in triorganotin(IV) complexes. While diorganotin(IV) complexes displayed a large range of structures, including five, six and seven coordinate geometries with distorted trigonalbipyramidal, octahedral and pentagonal bipyramidal structures.
