Abstract

The knowledge about morphological and engineering properties of an agricultural grain is important in order to develop different parts of farm machinery. The understanding of these properties also proves useful in developing an ergonomically fit machine. In the present study, some of the engineering properties such as size, volume, surface area, angle of repose, porosity, etc. of raw paddy (variety Basmati-370) are discussed briefly.
