Abstract
The results presented have shown that the polarization and radar geometry can significantly influence the Doppler spectra of inland reservoir surface clutter. The impact of polarization on the Doppler spectral width is analyzed by the decorrelation time from the autocorrelation function. In addition, the measured Doppler frequency shift induced by the motion of the reservoir surface depends on wind direction and measurement geometry. The extracted Doppler information is consistent with other measurements and theory.
