Abstract

ABSTRACT The vacuum press is a technical adaption for paper conservation and evaluated on behalf of the height of pressure, functionality, and usefulness. In comparison to the toggle press it is an alternative. The handling is comfortable and space efficient. Although the drying of papers is possible and the parameters are adjustable, the pressure onto the papers is quite high. It might be useful for the drying process during leafcasting paper.
