Abstract

Common surface plasmon resonance refractive index sensors often use side polished, tapered or etched fiber to enable evanescent wave to reach the metal-dielectric interface. These processes are often complex and make fiber fragile. In this paper, we fabricate a simple structure formed by multimode fiber and no-core fiber to stimulate surface plasmon wave.
