Abstract
The reactions between UF5 and either Me3SiCl or UCl5 in anhydrous acetonitrile yield soluble uranium (V) chloridefluorides. The crystalline complexes UF5·2tppo and UCl2F3·2tppo are obtained in the presence of an excess of triphenylphosphine oxide (tppo).
