Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of target training variations on the accuracy of forehand groundstroke punches in pickleball athletes in 2022. This study used a one group pretest posttest design.. This study was conducted on all pickleball athletes in the 2022 pickleball club, which accounted for 10 active people. The study was conducted as many as 18 meetings . The data in this study was obtained from the test results given. The data obtained are then quantitatively analyzed with the SPSS program. The results of this study showed an increase in the accuracy of forehand groundstroke punches of pickleball athletes with the presence of variations in target training. In the pre-test results, the average result was obtained at 30.20, while in the post-test results, an average of 34.60 was obtained. This shows an improvement in the results of the forehand groundstrokes of the athletes studied. From these results, it is suggested that effective techniques can be applied to improve the accuracy of forehand groundstroke strokes, one of which is the variety of surprising exercises. And it is hoped that other researchers will be able to develop other techniques so that they can become more varied references.
