Abstract

This paper describes the adaptation of the Natural Resources Damage Assessment Model for Coastal and Marine Environments, developed for simplified natural resources damages assessments in the US under CERCLA, to assess damages from oil and hazardous substance spills in the southeastern Yellow Sea of Korea. To illustrate use of the model, damages from a recent oil spill are simulated. In addition, a variety of sensitivity analyses are used to examine damages from oil spills of different sizes, spills of various non-oil substances, and spills in different seasons. Finally, the paper suggests research to refine and extend the model for possible future use in Korea.

综合海洋系统/经济损害评估模型在韩国的适应性:一些初步结果
