Abstract

The temperature dependence of the crystal lattice parameter of the components of bilayer films of the PbAg eutectic system with the use of in situ electron diffraction technology is studied in the work. These data were used to assess the solubility in the studied system. It was found that the solubility of solid lead in silver reaches 6 and 11 at. % for films of 22 and 8 nm thickness, respectively, at the temperature of $300 ^{\circ}C$. Such solubility significantly exceeds the values which are typical for the massive state.
