Abstract

The code segments generated by a pseudorandom noise generator are divided into groups according to the number of the chips taking on the value -1 in each segment, or equivalently according to the imbalance in the numbers of -1s and 1s. The author examines the average residual interfering power seen at the receiver baseband when the segments from each group are used for the despreading operation.
