Abstract

A novel PbS/PbSe co-doped fiber is fabricated by the modified chemical vapor deposition (MCVD) technology. Its absorption and luminescence characteristics are investigated. There are two absorption peaks at 773 and 1161 nm, respectively. The luminescence spectrum ranges from 1000 to 1350 nm. In addition, the intensity of luminescence is related to pump power.
