They are based upon an iodide tri-iodide redox couple mediated between a photosensitive electrodes of semiconductor materials stained with a photosensitive dye and a catalytic counter electrode. In the present investigation, ZnO compact layer was deposited using chemical solution deposition (CSD) method followed by porous ZnO layer by doctor blade (DB) method. Eosin-Y dye was used to sensitize ZnO films.
