Numerical simulation confirms our theoretical observations and indicates that the derived information can be employed as an evaluation index to quantitatively analyse the system performance. Abstract

In this paper, the application of information theory to describe radar measurement problems is investigated. We define the range-DOA information in the phased-array radar as the mutual information between range, direction of arrival (DOA) and the received signal.
