Desarrollo mediático. Una aproximación conceptual crítica

Abstract

In this work, we consider to analyze critically the concept of media development. The objective is to make precise this concept through specialized literature review. Inequality in a global perspective is a central topic in this discussion. The main argument is a lack of definition of media development concept. This situation concerns to a dispersion of intellectual traditions for studying. We find seven perspectives in four trends. In the final discussion we propose to consider media development in two meanings: a sociocultural process and a structural evaluating system.
