It was found that the common cycles for the eight stations are 2.22, 2.5, 3.33, 3.7, 4.35, 5.56, 7.14, 10, and 14.29 cycles. It is obvious that there are common cycles between each of the NAO, SO, MO, and AO indices and the cycles of daily wind speed of the eight stations. Abstract

Changes in the wind speed of the Iraqi-Kurdistan region are associated with many types of teleconnection patterns.
