Results revealed that the pre-school teachers differed significantly in their competencies according to their age, marital status and type of family. Abstract

The teacher in Early Childhood Educational Centre plays a significant role in planning and proper implementation of early childhood education programme. The teacher’s personal qualities and her enthusiasm and passion for children are more important for quality programmes.
