Useful cooking energy demand in the case of surveyed area comes out to be 77420 kWh per year. The total biogas demand of the study area to provide cooking gas and electricity is 56981.5 m3 per year whereas the total potential biogas production is 125838.18 m3/yr in the study area. Abstract

Khulna is located in the south western part of Bangladesh. Khulna is the third largest city of Bangladesh where the livelihood depends on mostly agricultural practices and livestock farming.
