Plexopatía lumbosacra diabética tratada con homeopatía. A propósito de un caso

Abstract

Diabetic lumbosacral radiculoplexopathy or diabetic amyotrophy is a rare disorder of the peripheral nerves associated with diabetes mellitus. There is often pain and asymmetrical weakness of proximal muscles of the lower limbs, progressive, and acute or subacute onset, and also sensory symptoms, such as paresthesia, allodynia and autonomic dysfunction. The case is presented of a diabetic patient who showed intolerance to the conventional drug amitriptyline and was treated in a primary care center with Gelsemium 30 CH, obtaining a complete remission of the symptoms described.
