Journalism students’ profile and their perceptions of journalism education in Brazil: A comparative analysis of local and national scenarios

Abstract

This paper discusses the profile of journalism students in Brazil: what they think of the education they receive and the activities undertaken by the university. It also discusses the modalities for constructing and incorporating journalistic culture within Brazilian academic institutions.
