Intelligent ST-segment follow-up for ischemia surveillance

Abstract

Several considerations about the problems in implementing intelligent monitoring schemes in ischemia surveillance are given. A layered approach to the design of an intelligent monitoring and management system for ischemic patients in the CCU/ICU is proposed. Lower layers for signal processing and alarm handling are specified and the main problems in their implementations are described.
