Education is used to promote understanding between different cultures and beliefs and to reduce the potential for violence. The Afghan government has implemented a number of initiatives to improve the access to quality education for all Afghans such as to promote peace and reconciliation between different ethnic and religious groups, and to create a sense of national identity. Education has been a powerful tool in promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan, and the Afghan government should continue to prioritize education in its efforts to bring lasting peace and prosperity to the country.
