Abstract
The paper describes a specialized software program developed by members of the Neighborhood Living Project at the University of Oregon's Specialized Training Program. The Neighborhood Living Project engages in research and development targeted at improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities who receive community-based residential services in settings such as group homes or apartments. The software is known as the neighborhood living project decision support system (NLPDSS). NLPDSS is one component of a larger model, the valued outcomes information system (VOIS), which shows staff members of residential programs how to provide high-quality services to individuals with severe disabilities.<>
