Abstract

This article focuses on multidisciplinary optimization in situations in which the different criteria that account for the various disciplines are functionals of distributed solutions of partial-differential equations. In the case of two disciplines, we propose a strategy in which the optimization process is carried out in two phases: (a) a cooperative-optimization phase throughout which both criteria improve at each iteration, and (b) an optional competitive-optimization phase by a Nash game associated with an adapted split of variables.
