Abstract
The involvement of women in politics is the entry of women to take part in parliament in making government policy decisions. The purpose of this study is to find out how the level of participation of women's roles in political affairs is and what factors affect the availability of women in politics. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach where the research used to examine natural objects where the researcher is the key instrument, the data collection technique is combined, the data analysis is inductive, and the results of qualitative research emphasize meaning rather than generalization. The role of women in the political realm must face various problems because of the presence of a patriarchal culture that places itself as the most appropriate leader when compared to women so that there is gender equality between men and women which is still growing and inherent in people's lives. Then the presence of a traditional view that is arguably very relevant puts women in an inappropriate position to be used as rivals. At this time to place the position of women who can occupy seats in parliament in government such as the DPR, DPD, MPR, and DPRD is still quite lacking even if it is seen that the index is decreasing from year to year. As for the results of the research that has been done, it can be said that it is still necessary to continue to support various groups to advance and enhance the role of women so that women are more embraced so that they can confidently access the political sphere. By continuing to hold fast to pay attention to and improve the quality of human resources with political education for women.
