Abstract

In this work, we are studying novel terahertz (THz) spectroscopic methods for quality control of printable electronics suitable for the industrial environment. Using a metallic checkboard metamaterial laying out the Babinet principle transmission, we demonstrate that THz waves are very sensitive for probing ink distribution, and may represent a future solution for replacing the optical microscope in the in-situ ink distribution tracking for printable electronic production
