La doble invención: ciudad y “mala literatura” en La prueba y La mendiga de César Aira

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to evaluate the configuration of urban space in the cycle of Flores’ novels in terms of “invention”. Likewise, the concept of invention is understood in relation to Aira’s conceptualization of “bad” literature. The appearance of the neighborhood and the signifier “Flores” in the writer’s work coincides with the start-up of a machinery for the production of “novelitas” that takes place from the beginning of the nineties.
