Abstract
Abstract: In the frame of our research we examine those Argentine dramatic texts about the Malvinas War (1982), an event which constitutes a sensitive presence in contemporary Argentine society (Lorenz, 2012). We study the representations (Chartier, 1992) through which drama operates as a memorialist construct (Vezzetti, 2002) that triggers the workings of memory (Jelin, 2002) and speaks of the “unspeakable” (Mancuso, 2010). In Del sol naciente (1983/1984), a dramatic text by Griselda Gambaro, we analyze how its poetics yields a reading of the above-mentioned war from an anti-patriarchal and anti-dictatorial criticism and a conception of memory as great sharing.
