Abstract

The rock of Salobrena has had many different uses over the centuries. When it was an island, it was an essential geostrategic enclave used as an advanced troop position for daily prevention and maritime navigation control, especially in the important mission of defending its Castle. Nowadays, it has been converted into an annex site to the beach location with which it shares its territory, for the use and enjoyment of all users.
