Abstract

A general overview of Catalan writer Albert Sanchez Pinol’s work, serves as a prologue to excerpts of the conversation with him that took place in the Aula Magna at the Universita di Bologna on October 31, 2014. Sanchez Pinol is a unique writer in the Catalan literary scene for two reasons: he writes books that are real page-turners, and he has managed to successfully introduce the fantastic in Catalan literature. More recently his interest has moved to historical novel closely related to contemporary political events.
