NS Avantura: A new high yielding winter wheat cultivar

The cultivar NS Avantura was selected from a cross between two genotypes: NS 151-10 and Premio. The Commission for the registration of varieties of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia conducted a trial at multiple locations in two years, and it was found that NS Avantura is a distinct, uniform and stable cultivar with higher grain yield than average of four check cultivars, and good technological quality. Abstract

Winter wheat is the most important winter cereal crop in Serbia and in the Pannonian region.
