Caroli’s Disease: A Mini-Review

Abstract

Caroli’s disease is a rare congenital condition that is characterised by intrahepatic biliary duct dilatation without fibrosis. It is associated with an increased risk of cholelithiasis, cholangitis and cholangiocarcinoma. As such, it is an important clinical entity to be aware of. Most of the literature surrounding Caroli’s disease is limited to case reports and case series.
