Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate, through the systemic approach, quality indicators of the Brazilian Public Health System. The Public Health System represents a system that transforms supplies into specialized assets to attend its user’s healthcare needs. This is a descriptive research based on quantitative and secondary data. The instrument used was an adaptation of the Unified Health System’s Monitoring and Evaluation Panel, which divides indicators into inputs, processes and outputs. To complement the panel, values were searched which would serve as official parameters for quality assessment for all indicators. The main results indicate that, of the 17 indicators, only seven (7) meet the quality criteria, one (1) being of inputs, three (3) of processes and three (3) of outputs. Lastly, although the demands (inputs) aren’t being supplied with quality, the result indicators show that the transformed inputs can positively impact the healthcare assistance of the population.
