Precisiones nomenclaturales en Phlomis × composita Pau (Lamiaceae)

Abstract

Some questions related to the nomenclature of Phlomis × composita Pau (Lamiaceae) are precised. The name P. × composita is typified based on the original material from Pau, collected by Bourgeau in 1849 and preserved in the herbarium of the Real Jardin Botanico de Madrid (Spain). A previous type proposed by Mateu (1986) is rejected for being incorrect. A new taxonomical status is proposed for the hybrid between P. crinita Cav. subsp. crinita and P. lychnitis L. (Lamiaceae) under the range of nothosubspecies: P. × composita nothosubsp. trullenquei (Pau) P. P. Ferrer, Guara & E. Laguna, stat. nov.
