Abstract
This article aims to deepen the understanding of Gyorgy Lukcas's estrangement category, in order to identify contributions to the feminist debate. The intellectual presents the estrangement category as the mismatch between the development of human personality and the development of human capabilities. In this process, it discusses the estrangement of women as a relevant issue for understanding the dramas of social being in its historical time. Thus, it is pointed out that for the emancipatory struggle of women it is essential to grasp the mechanisms that act in the process that drives and also retracts the possibilities of interfering with autonomy and critical awareness about the reproduction of this unequal sociability between people. It is in this context that Lukacs's debate, especially about the estrangement and the estrangement of women, is presented as a contribution to enhancing liberating strategies.
