Abstract

2. SUMMARY OF CONTENTS/MAJOR CHANGES: This revision establishes VA’s policy to utilize issuances of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to carry out VA’s responsibility to provide information on employee benefit program information on the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAFEDS) Program and the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP). The pages in this revision are to replace all the corresponding page numbers in VA Handbook 5009. These changes will be incorporated into the electronic version of VA Handbook 5009 that is maintained on the Office of Human Resources Management Web site.
