Abstract

The quantitative study of chemical composition of ten samples of the tetrahedrite group minerals from six deposits in Bolivia (Animas - Chocaya, Pulacayo, San Vicente, Machacamarca, Cerro Rico, Oruro) provided new data enabling their detailed classification within this group. The majority of samples are usual members of tetrahedrite group: tennantite-(Zn) (San Vicente, Oruro), tetrahedrite-(Zn) (Animas - Chocaya, Pulacayo, San Vicente, Cerro Rico, Oruro) and tetrahedrite-(Fe) (Pulacayo, Machacamarca, Cerro Rico).
