After 48 h and 96 h root length and mitotic index were calculated. The photomicrographs had shown the chromosomal abnormalities, stickiness, etc. with increasing concentration of ethanolic extract. Mimusops elengi is a small or large evergreen tree (Sapotaceae) of western peninsula and is found in south India.
