Utilizando a análise de citações de teses para avaliar a coleção de livros em bibliotecas universitárias

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the appropriateness of the books collection in the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul libraries to PhD students in Management and Business. The method finds correlation between books cited in the PhD thesis from 1999 to 2007, and the book collection available in the libraries. The research concludes that the books collection edited in Portuguese language is according to informational demands of the PhD students, but the books collection in others languages are not.
