Apontamentos sobre a comunicação em rede de ONGs ambientalistas locais (Pantanal/Mato Grosso do Sul)

Abstract

This article discusses the possibilities of the media coverage of two of the major environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs) of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, the ECOA and the SOS Pantanal, from a systematic analysis of the main organizations in the social network Facebook throughout the year 2015, which originated figures which were interpreted in the light of theoretical discussions and in an exploratory way in an attempt to understand if communication practice can contribute to the debate on the regionalized environmental issues. This article integrates the scientific initiation research “Thinking environmental cyberculture: communication and discourse of environmental movement”, developed in the course of Social Communication – Journalism/Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS).
