Attachement, bonding et impact de l’intervention des comédiens musiciens, dans un service de maternité

Abstract

Postpartum is lifechanging. It is a period rich in psychic reworking for mothers, and hospitalization after delivery can be a difficult experience. The purpose of this study is to increase the theoretical knowledge about attachment quality in mothers and its influence on the bonding process. To our knowledge, this is the first study about the effect of the intervention of Rire Medecin on bonding in a maternity ward. For this, thirty-two mothers were recruited in a Paris maternity ward. Our results show that clowns’ intervention has a positive impact on bonding quality. This effect does not depend on mothers’ attachment style.
