Abstract
Kierkegaard, who was among the influential philosophers of the 19th century and showed his influence in the 20th century, included some concepts that were not taken into account by traditional philosophy, such as subjective truth, choice, decision and responsibility, which could not be considered apart from this concept, especially the concept of existence. Kierkegaard critically evaluated his own age and tried to show that some of the attitudes and understandings prevalent in this period were wrong. At the centre of his criticisms is the excessive value placed on objective knowledge, the act of knowing, science, scientific method, contemplation, and abstract thought, which he calls objective truth. He considers all these in terms of human existence and inquires what kind of contribution they have in realizing human existence. This study aims to reveal Kierkegaard's understanding of truth and existence based on his distinction between subjective truth and objective truth
