Abstract

The learning of the number is the beginning of the formal mathematical knowledge, it is there, where the importance of revising thoroughly its learning and its teaching from both perspectives centers; in the primitive human groups and in each person. This document shows both procedures based in several findings from researchers and theoretical contributions that are building the development of the text in such way that the complexity of a society and a human being is analyzed in order to build a complex mathematical concept: the number.Keywords: number; counting principles; the learning of the number.
