Remembering childhood experiences of village life and experimenting in DIY helped guide the way towards developing this home extension in Transylvania. Restoration of a traditional home helps to reinforce the idea of local identity, without restricting a well-informed experiment in creating contemporary architectural forms. The new extension making a move forward in terms of timber architecture rooted in local culture.
